The football fraternity was charged earlier today in very strong words by Sam Nyamweya, the Chairman of Football Kenya Federation. The Kenyan football supremo was speaking about the re-emergence of racism on football, and the seeming inability of FIFA to deal decisively with the menace. Writing in an article released today, Nyamweya said “the past few years have seen a seeming rise in cases of racism in our football, especially in so-called developed countries in Europe and the eastern bloc”. |

 The Orange CAF African Champions League concluded its second round of qualifiers last weekend and there were some impressive results and the setting up of some real eye-watering ties for the next round. APR of Rwanda (a team founded on the nation’s military background) scaled through at the expense of favourites Tusker FC of Kenya. Having battled to a scoreless draw in Nairobi, APR got the 1-0 win needed to secure a place in the next round. They will, though, face a tricky two-legged duel with former African champions Etoile du Sahel from Tunisia, to advance to the next stage. |

The sacked coach of the Senior National Team, the Black Stars, Goran Stevanovic, has officially reported the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to FIFA, saying he is in a state of shock and fears for his life after an official of the GFA told him (Goran) that they cannot guarantee his safety in the country.
